6/29/21 - First Godot Build!
Obviously, it isn't much, but take it anyways.
I've been working to get an actual proof of concept port of Panic Machine onto Godot for almost a year now, and I think I might've just done it.
I ignored doing it mostly last year as I didn't see any benefit of doing it, as well as making other, new projects in the meantime. But now that I've actually sunk my teeth into Godot... it is a LOT better than what I gave it credit for. As far as I'm concerned, any and all Clickteam projects previously created are going to be getting Godot ports, as not only does it handle 2D and 3D, but it also has HTML exporting! Because of that, I will be able to upload games playable inside of the browser, on sites such as Newgrounds and itch.io. Of course, development of Panic Machine will continue in this new Godot release, housing a LOT more options than before. Keep watch for resolution, language, volume and input options. My first goal after uploading this build is to fix up the menu, because after finding out how to switch scenes, it was REALLY a bad idea to make it all in one scene. Regardless, keep watch for new things to come.
For this, I made a small ui. Don't expect everything under the sun to work, as the only points of contention are the map and the test level. Click the "campaign" button to get sent straight to those.
(once i get the display schtick figured out ill update the screenshots)
